Miscellaneous thoughts

I fell into being obsessed about starline in January of 2026 and I don't think I've ever thought about a guy so hard in my life
Eggline is my favourite ship of all time both for well thought out reasons and also because it is age gap size difference boss employee power dynamic. It is fundamentally about power to me either way. I have an essay I'm working on that explores the implications of Starline's character from the basis of it being Eggman specifically he latched onto, under the assumption it was not by outside forces or by a freak incident or something. Yes narratively it had to be eggman as eggman is the franchise's big bad, but in-universe it's way weirder considering what he wants out of the relationship and how he perceives eggman. What is wrong with that guy

I have heavily considered selfshipping but the closest way I can explain my feelings is that it grossed me out when I accidentally called him "my platypus" one time instead of "the platypus", but simultaneously he manages to be both really powerful and with hypno powers and also the most pathetic frail fragile being known to earth I don't know what to tell you. I would need two selfship OCs for either scenario. It would be complicated. Selfshipping while wearing a 'we are not together' shirt
What if he could be happy :( what if he allowed himself to be loved :(

^ dad thing is a headcanon, and eventually is because I can fix him. Trust me.
